Flexicare ThermoShield™ Bacterial / Viral HME Filter
The Flexicare ThermoShield™ Bacterial / Viral HME Filter is a heat and moisture exchange filter (HMEF) designed to help protect patients and ventilators from cross infection while warming and humidifying inspired gases. Suitable for use within respiratory and ventilation circuits, ThermoShield™ combines heat and moisture exchange with bacterial and viral filtration in a single device.
The ThermoShield™ features a secure luer lock system for convenient access to the monitoring port. The easy to operate push fit tethered luer lock cap remains attached to the filter by a strap, helping reduce the risk of misplacement or loss during clinical use.
Secure Luer Lock
The push fit tethered luer lock cap provides access to the monitoring port while remaining secured to the filter with an integrated strap. This helps minimise the risk of the cap becoming misplaced or lost.
LuerSafe Option
The LuerSafe option features a capless, self sealing valve designed to help prevent incorrect connections. Its distinctive orange colour provides clear visual identification of the LuerSafe valve and monitoring line, helping indicate the corresponding connector.
